New, and not-so-new employees

Here is a very incomplete list of some of the
personnel changes that have taken place around
campus. In the library, Caroline Price and Kathryn
Feeney have both left and have been replaced by
three part-time Librarians—Suzanne Clouthier, Jean
Cockburn and Patricia Daum. Welcome.

Bob) Walker, computer whiz, has been put on regular
full'time, as have Wendy Weberg, Extension Clerk |
and Kerry Holloway, Advising Centre Assistant. In
Financial Aid, Connie Gibbs is splitting the Financial
Aid Assistant job with Marie Crowther (also part-time
in the Registrar's Office), and in the Advising Centre
Myla: Waterman (formerly in Registration) is working

Rizun invited to Saskatchewan

Chairman of the College Board, Hilda Rizun, has
been invited to attend the National Forum on Post-
Secondary Education to be held in Saskatoon on
October 25. This is the first forum to be jointly
sponsored by the federal and provincial
governments, and attendance is by invitation. The
forum will “explore the challenges and opportunities
facing Canada’s colleges and universities in
preparation for the 21st Century.”

Wild beast terrorizes Music Dept.

What Carol McQuarrie describes as “an unmuzzled
pit bull mouse” was found roaming in the Music
Department on the afternoon of September 2nd.

Students from the Koto-Ku district of Toykyo got together with students from Brackendale Secondary in late July
for a baseball game. The Japanese students were visiting Squamish as part of a week-long Canadian Culture
and Language Program sponsored by Capilano College. For details see page 7.
