The distinguished guests were exploring the possibility of collaborating with Simon Fraser University and Capilano College on future educational initiatives. New parking restrictions As part of the Seymour-Capilano Water Filtration Project, the Greater Vancouver Regional District will be upgrading roads that border the North Vancouver campus of Capilano © College. Due to this construction activity that will begin in April, some of the parking on the District of North Vancouver roadways will be eliminated. The College has been working with the GVRD and the DNV to keep the disruption of any construction activity to a minimum. Parking on roadways north of Purcell Way will be eliminated except for the following areas: e the west side of Lillooet, south of Inter-River Road © on Monashee Road, south of Tantalus The DNV will not be reinstating parking on these roadways once construction is completed in September 2004. a ee i the rallese Liberal Arts university transfer student, Jason Brawn, sets a good example of how the program is working i in the community. At the January Education Council meeting, Council agreed to set up a committee chaired by Dr. Mark Battersby to explore how the College implements that statement. The Sunshine Coast Trades Entry Certificate program received final approval. The Musical Theatre program received approval in principle. | Minimal educational require- ments for hiring instructors in the University Transfer areas were approved. Budget forum A forum on the College budget process will be held on Monday, March 8 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Cedar building, room 148.
