Those Were the Days... by Sue Carter October 1969 was the date that I eame to Capilano College. The college consisted of a two-story office building at the west end of West Vancouver Secondary Sehool on Mathers Avenue, and a library portable attached to the east end of the high school. We had no access to the high school building until 4:00 p.m., so that our staunch little library staff trudged 1/3 of a block through all kinds of weather to the "facilities" located in the office building. We were a brownbag society. The college was a night-class operation, Sue Carter, Arlene Lamont and Blackberry, i the Library cat.
