Following is a brief review of some important an- nouncements made during the summer months. Phase III and Squamish Projects are Approved Phase III of the College’s five-phase master development program, as well as the new Squamish Campus, have been approved. The Squamish Campus will house five lab/classrooms, a library and resource centre and offices. It will replace the existing lease facility in Squamish and will be located close to downtown Squamish, next to highway 99. The North Vancouver campus’s four- storey building will house all student services, all food services, the ABE/ESL and ACT labs and classrooms, as well as a 350-seat performing arts theatre, general classrooms and administration offices. Pay Parking in Effect Sept. 6 will be special guests of the College, who will be issued a short-term permit, and registered car pool users. Pay parking will cost $1 per day, $15 per month, $50 per term, or $90 per year. Permits will be on sale for employees only on August 23 and 24 in room ARO11 of the Arbutus building between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Permits will be available to students August 25 to September 9 in room ARO11. Payment can also be made on a daily basis at a ticket dispenser. Pay parking will be in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will be administered by a commercial service provider. The pay parking ticket or permit must be displayed at all times. The first violation will result in a fine. A second violation will be an automatic tow away. Registered car pools of three or more will park for free. Information regarding car pooling may be ob- tained from the Purchasing Depart- ment located in room ARO18, or by calling 984-4904. Revenue from pay parking is directly applied to the cost of repairs, maintenance and operation of P%, parking areas on campus, as ute well as property leases and wh parking expansion. Again Everything Old is New As of September 6, parking will no longer be free in any of the lots or on campus roadways. More than 80 pianos (new and used) will be available, including grands, uprights, and digitals. Employees, students, and alumni of the College will receive a special discount on the first day of the sale. Financing and delivery will be available.
