STAFF CAREER DEVELOPMENT

On November 4, 1997, the Staff Career
Development Committee hosted the

final Staff offering of 1997. Heather
McCullough, of High Performance
Lifestyles, presented another uplifting
and worthwhile workshop - "Live Well,
Work Well: New Wellness Wisdom
for People Under Pressure" to a "sell
out" crowd !

As a_ direct result of Heather's
Workshops for the Staff of Capilano
College, Dr. Bill Mackie (our College
doc') has offered Heather an Associate
position with his office on campus,
beginning January 1998.

Committee wishes to express a heartfelt
Thank You to all Staff, for your

amazing support and willingness to
contribute to making our workplace a
wee bit more enjoyable.

A Great Success !! This Fund was
initiated to assist Staff members with
additional training and knowledge that
directly relates to their work at the
College. During the past year, ten
departments and fourteen Staff
members benefited from the use of
these special funds. The SCDC is

hopeful that this source of additional
funding for Staff will be available, once
again, in the 97/98 term.

Committee is pleased to announce two
new committee members: Lee Ederer,
from Registration and, John Boylan
from Library Technical Services.
Both, John and Lee, bring lots of
enthusiasm, great ideas and a strong
desire to contribute to the Career
Development and overall well-being of
