Gift from Finland

A. new arrival in A building has the Craft
department and coordinator Mieneke Mees in
a state of pure delight. A "Finlandia"
loom, manufactured by Varpapuu Ky, the
largest loom manufacturer in Finland, has
been donated to the department by that
company. This very generous gift was
arranged by Mr. Pentti Varpainen, Manager
of Varpapuu Ky, who visited the Craft
department and decided to present the
weavers with one of his looms. Mieneke

Busy assembling the large loom that was donated to the Craft Department are Mieneke
Mees, Crafts Coordinator, Wenche Eilertsen, Kaija Rautiainen and Elizabeth Courtney. The
loom arrived November 21.

Plant sale — order now

The Landscape/Horticulture department is
holding their annual Christmas Plant Sale
on Friday, December 12 (NOT Thursday, as
announced in the last Informer). Azaleas,
Poinsettias, and Mumsettias will be
available—if you want to be sure to get
one, place your order by December 10 and
then pick up your plant December 12 at 1
