Marshall, Addy sculpt In the better-late-than-never photo department, we have a picture of David Marshall, sculpture instructor, and Brian Addy, Art Institute student, taken just before their departure for a marble symposium in Yugoslavia (see the last Informer issue). The book which Marshall is holding is the catalogue of sculptures that have been done at the Arandjelovac symposium since 1968—a truly impressive selection of works which have been located in complementary and interesting surroundings. Addy and Marshall left before the end of September, and will be working on the marble near [the Vencac quarry by now. They will be back in time for the spring term. Alumnus receives Ryerson honours Congratulations to former Capilano student Lindsey Shaw who graduated this year with Honours from Ryerson University in the Early Childhood Education program. Shaw, a visually impaired student, enrolled here in our E.C.E. program and graduated in 1984. She did her practicum at the J. Ross Macdonald School for the Blind in Brampton Ontario and is currently working part-time for a daycare centre in metropolitan Toronto. Shaw's future plans include taking a ten month Teaching Certificate program at the University of Toronto. Incidentally, the Shaws are a real "Cap College family". Howard Shaw, Lindsey's brother, took the Media Resources program here and was recently married to Jessie, a student from Office Administration. We wish them all the best with their careers. Win Wine!
