United Way campaign ends Dec. 8 Many of us know already the real meaning of United Way—the symbolic helping hand is a real one. All of us will meet problems we cannot handle alone. It's comforting to know that we can find help. The programs of the United Way provide so many benefits to so many prople: from the caring and friendship at an adult daycare centre or the crisis centre to the most recent scientific advances for the tratement of people with arthritis or cerebral palsy. We are all part of the caring and help when we give. There is still time for Capilano College people to help. Our caring tree will be receiving nourishing donations until December 8. Let's make it sprout right off the poster. - Averil McCreadie Two more movies this year On the agenda for the Student Union's film nights in December are two excellent movies--Deer Hunter on Dec. 2 and Norma Rae on Dec. 9. Films are shown in the Lounge on Thursday nights at 7:30 pm. Admission is $1 for students and $2 for - everyone else. Joint Xmas concert to be held The Capilano College Chorus and the North Shore Chorus are holding a Christmastime concert at the North Vancouver Centennial Theatre on Wednesday, December 1. The choirs will be performing Choral explorations through the centuries from the Renaissance to the 20th Century with Christmas content. Tickets for the 8 p.m. performance are $3 or $2 for students and seniors and are available through the Music department or at the door.
