Clark wins contest And I thought it was going to be an easy one! Only one person correctly guessed all three children in last week's contest. It was Pauline Clark at the Main Registration desk who identified Lynne Hamilton, ARC (left), Paul Mier, Political Studies (lower right), and Bill Gibson. Pauline won the bottle of riesling, and the Informer decided to award Vancouver posters to all runners up who had two correct. They were: Paul Avery, Psychology; Karen Klaver, Library; and Carmen, Leanne and Claire in ‘the Typing Pool whose guesses were, interestingly enough, all in Claire's handwriting. Thank-yous go to those who bravely loaned their pictures to the cause and all those who entered. The Informer will be doing this again sometime and volunteers are being sought for the next round. Students hold Fitness Fair The Fitness Leadership students in Squamish held a successful fitness fair called “Focus on Fitness" on February 8. The event ran from noon to 3 pm, and started off with a family walk led by the Squamish mascot "Gary Baldi." The walk attracted about 150 people and many eagles were sighted. At the fair itself there was fitness testing, live demonstrations from community groups, and booths from community health groups, as well as a play area for children. "The students did an excellent job and have shown themselves to be true leaders," said Fitness Coordinator Andree Vajda- Janyk. "Squamish, I hear, wants another fair next year."
