He has twice won the Jean Coulthard Scholarship and is widely known for his lyrical style and finely crafted instrumental musico MARK ARMANINI "A very promising composer." CHQM has studied composition both privately and at the University of British Columbia. At 21 she has produced many works, among them pieces for piano, woodwinds and string quartets. In addition, she composes both film and dance music and has recently completed a local television conmercial. AMY CHENG is the founder and president of the Vancouver Pro Musica Orchestra. He has had a number of his works performed in Vancouver including an orchestral piece "By the Sea (On Fire!)". - --- He has also perfonned as an improvising cellist and is active as a teacher and concert organizer. PAUL NICHOLLS has 14 years experience as a freelance composer and performer. His compositions include scores for concert perfonnance, dance, theatre, film and television. RICHARD PAYNE is a multi-instrumentalist and conductor who has perfonned his own works across Canada and the U.S.A. He has appeared on numerous CBC Television and Radio Broadcasts, recorded four albums and given music workshops throughout the lower mainland.
