Tim Mills and Ken Wright from Argyle will add depth at the guard position while Notre Dame's Greg Porter will give the Blues good outside shooting from the back court. Mills, who is probably the best passing guard on the team, was one of only two high school players to make B.C.'s under 21 select team which represented the province last summer at the National Championships in St. Johns, Newfoundland. At 6'7", Delta's Finn Hansen adds height to the Blues squad while former Delta team-mate Cam White could be the team's best outside shooter. Carson Graham's Sean Campbell and George Mulder, an Argyle grad of two years ago, combine with 6'2 guard forward Mylan Hart, a speedster with excellent jumping ability who hails from Bridgeport Pennsylvania, to round out the first year players. The Blues will see their first action in Clearbrook when they meet Columbia Insti- tute in an exhibition encounter on October 22. Dr. Townsley, who is the head of the UBC Department of Food Science, is well recog- nized for his work in developing tissue culture techniques and in the application of these techniques for the extraction of compounds from tissue ‘cultures used in medicine, the food industry and many other areas.
