The tour, led by Art instructor Dave Maclagan and watercolourist Harry Heine, was a two week cruise on the Orpheus, visiting ancient sites in the Eastern Mediterranean. Anne reports that she has “oodles of pictures” and that the highlight of the trip for her was sailing on the sea of Galilee. Valerie works for the law firm Rand and Edgar and last week she was asked by the senior partners to represent the firm at clients’ reception held by Benndorf Verster, who were holding a draw as a sales promotion. She ; agreed to go on the condition that she could keep the prize if she won, and they said sure, just as long as they got three cases of champagne. What none of them expected was that she would win. And she did. Valerie now has a BMW 325e, the law firm has three cases of champagne, and the Sharpes just ] put up for sale a 1985 Honda Accord. Any takers?
