December 15/00 the weekend before the class started,” Casey said. “Considering how little resources we had, it is pretty amazing what we’ve been able to do over the term of this program. It is the result of a lot of work by a lot of people.” The open house included a tour of the Park, led by students in the College’s Hospitality program, and a stop at the shop where Capilano College Trades’ students were busy working on projects and giving demonstrations. “The new station was really beautiful and the Hospitality students were superb at providing tours of the railway site,” Lynn adds. Hospitality students also provided the catering with food donated by local businesses, such as Save On Foods, Panago Pizza, I.G.A., The Bargain Shop, Little Caesar’s, Best Western Sea to Sky Hotel, Quizno’s, Tim Horton’s, McDonald’s and the Heritage Park.
