The music, sweeterrainforterraine, is a duet for percussion, flute, ochirina, piano, video and audio tapes. It has been performed previously in Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. Admission will be $1.00 for members and $2.00 to the general public. GREGG SIMPSON was formerly a member of the Al Neil Trio with whom he helped set up multi-media workshops: the Sound Gallery and Motion Studio. Later a member of Intermedia, he has performed in concerts in art galleries, universities, and clubs in Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Regina and Toronto. In 1971 he formed the 'New Atlantis Houseband' and in 1973 'Apex', later joining the 'Sunship Ensemble' in 1974. Since 1975 he has worked with 'Musique Par Coeur'. In the visual arts he has exhibited paintings and collages, etc. in Vancouver, Victoria, Toronto, Paris, London and Belgium; also organized two touring exhibits: Canadian West Coast Hermetics and Pacific Rim Consciousness. DON DRUICK works in theatre, music, video and photography. His pieces have been performed and exhibited throughout Europe, North and South America. He has provided music for concerts, films, dance, theatre and radio broadcasts. my music is involved with the politics of performance. I dislike the widespread academically based so-called 'new music'. Essentially music hasn't changed in 500,000 years. It's still the same valuable information and that information, for me, is the realization that the political nature of music lies in its shamanistic references." 11 . . .
