Raffle Winner

The raffle for Kiff Holland’s
watercolor, Leeward Side, valued at
$1,950, was won by Mary Shaw, the
mother of a Capilano College student.

Childcare
Centre to
Expand

he Ministry of Women’s Equality

and the Ministry of Skills, Training
and Labour have approved a new
childcare facility for Capilano College.
The childcare centre will be three times
the existing size and will house
approximately 75 children.

Expected to be completed in
September 1996, the new two-storey
facility will include an infant centre,
toddler centre and group childcare
centre. It will remain on the existing
site with construction expected to last
three to four months. Work on the
project may begin as early as January
’96. If so, there will be a need for an
off-campus relocation. If it is built over
the summer, the existing operation will
move somewhere else on campus. i

of publicity for this event and
subsequently for the College.
