the Cap College flag flies Teaching at Cap College this fall must seem pretty mundane to Al Oberndorf after spending four months in China and Indonesia. Oberndorf taught at the Canada/ China Enterprise Management Training Centre in Shengdu (funded by CIDA) where he was instructing top level Chinese enterprise leaders in the principles of Canadian business. Shengdu, which is the provincial capital of Szechuan, is 1500 miles from Beijing, but Al also managed to spend a little time touristing. Although he left Vancouver May 2, he spent his first three weeks in Djakarta working for a Capilano College graduate, Eddie Tan. Oberndorf then went on to Canton for five days and Beijing for nine days before starting at the Training Centre in Shengdu. As you have no doubt noticed, Al took along a Capilano College flag, and we were pleased to note on his return that he had taken slides of it in a number of places that are unlikely to be mistaken for the Lynnmour campus. t= Capilano college
