Sax, piano in next concert The next concert in the Bachelor of Music Transfer Program's Noon Hour concert series is on Friday, October 24 at 12:10 and features Julia Nolan, Saxophone, and Jane Gormley, Piano. The program includes Canzonetta 0p.19, Gabriel Pierne, Five Exotic Dances, Jean Francais, Rapsodie 1903, Claude Debussy, and Scaramouche 1937 bys Darius Milhaud. This will take place in room’ H113 and admission is by donation to the Grand Piano Fund. Wah to give reading There will be a reading this Thursday, . October 23 at noon in R105 (the Studio ' Theatre). Fred Wah, who won the Governor General's Award for Waiting for Saskatchewan, will be reading from his work. Admission is free—for information contact the Humanities Division. NSEDC open house The North Shore Enterprise Development Centre is holding an Open House on Monday, October 20 from 4 to 7 pm. Store holds contest Cap Corner, the student store located in the lobby of B building, is conducting a contest for a student logo. The logo will be printed on various garments, and a free sweatshirt will be given to the winner. Workshops planned for Pemberton The Craft Department is organizing a series of workshops in Pemberton this fall. The first, which will be taking place November 1 and 2 at Pemberton Secondary School, is on Design and Fibre Art, and subsequent workshops are being planned on Leathermaking and Cottage Industry and Marketing. Cease smoking seminar | Have you been meaning to quit smoking and get back into shape? The Sue Hills Fitness Centre at Park Royal is starting a Smoke> Fit program October 29.
