Capilano College was awarded the prestigious Prix D'Excellence by the Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education (CCAE) for best institutional annual report (colleges). 1996/97 was only the second time that a Capilano College annual report had been entered in the competition. The previous year it had won a bronze medal. Selected by 50th Anniversary History Team.
